Top China Companies compiles public, checkable information about Chinese companies and presents it in industry rankings. This page explains what is in the rankings, where the data comes from, and what does not affect the order.
What is ranked
The database covers Chinese companies only. The first edition of every industry ranking lists companies that are publicly listed on the Shanghai, Shenzhen or Beijing stock exchanges, because their basic facts can be checked against stock exchange disclosures. Unlisted companies are added to the database as they are collected, and the rankings will be extended as the data allows. Each ranking page states how many companies it contains.
How the order is decided
- Sector: each company is placed in the sector that matches its main business, following the exchange industry classification and checked against its stated main products. A company appears in one ranking only.
- Order: companies are ranked by total market capitalisation in RMB, using a snapshot taken on the date shown on the ranking page.
- Exclusions: special-treatment (ST) and delisting-risk stocks, B-shares, and suspended or non-trading stocks are left out.
- Company details: name, province and main products come from public company filings. Main products are summarised in short English phrases.
Data sources
Stock exchange disclosures, as compiled by public market-data providers (for example company registration details and exchange industry classifications). We do not use data supplied by companies themselves for the order of a ranking.
Rankings cannot be bought
No payment, advertising, membership or service relationship has any influence on whether a company is listed or where it appears. The order is produced from the public data described above.
Verified profiles
A “Verified” mark means the company has claimed its profile and our team has manually reviewed the claim. It does not change a company’s position in any ranking. Profiles without the mark were compiled from public information and have not been reviewed by the company.
Popularity votes
Visitors can vote for companies on ranking pages. Each visitor can vote once per ranking per day. Votes are shown as a popularity indicator only and never change the order of a ranking.
Updates
Data is updated continuously. Every ranking page shows the date of its latest update.

Top China Companies 汇集中国企业的公开、可核查信息，并按行业编制榜单。本页说明榜单收录什么、数据从哪里来，以及哪些因素不会影响排名。
收录范围
数据库只收录中国企业。各行业榜单第一版收录在上海、深圳或北京证券交易所上市的企业，因为这些企业的基本信息可以对照交易所披露核实。非上市企业会随资料收集陆续加入，榜单也会随数据扩充。每个榜单页都会标明收录的企业数量。
排序方法
- 行业：企业按主营业务归入对应行业，依据交易所行业分类并核对其主营业务。每家企业只出现在一个榜单中。
- 排序：按公司总市值（人民币）从高到低排序，快照日期见榜单页面。
- 剔除：特别处理（ST）与退市风险股票、B 股，以及停牌或无交易股票不参与排名。
- 企业资料：名称、省份、主营业务等来自公开的公司披露信息。
数据来源
证券交易所披露信息，经公开行情数据服务整理（例如企业登记信息、交易所行业分类）。榜单排序不使用企业自行提供的数据。
榜单不可购买
任何付款、广告、会员或服务关系，都不会影响企业是否入榜以及排名位置。排序完全由上述公开数据得出。
认证标识
“已认证”表示企业已认领自己的资料页，并经我们人工审核。该标识不影响企业在任何榜单中的位置。没有该标识的资料页由公开信息整理，企业尚未确认。
投票
访客可在榜单页为企业投票，每位访客每个榜单每天可投一票。票数只作为热度参考，不改变榜单顺序。
更新
数据持续更新，每个榜单页都会显示最近更新日期。
